Hello and thanks for dropping in on us. If you have been here before, you will have noticed one or two changes, even by now. If this is your first visit, a special hello.
We are the McSharry family, living in Halifax in the United Kingdom. The family name comes from County Lietrim in Southern Ireland, from where my father John originated in 1933. He moved to the UK when he was a lad, and he stayed! My part of the family consists of my wife, Janet, she is a district nurse who visits the sick and elderly in their own homes. She is a keep fit fanatic who runs marathons for fun! (and charity). We have a daughter, Annette who is living and working in Los Angeles with her British husband Paul, more on them later...We have 2 sons, Robert who is now nearly 21, he is a CAD operative who spends an awful lot of time away working from home. His main interest is his car and his latest acquisition, his Aprilia motorcycle. Then we have Iain who is nearing his 16th year, still in school at the moment, he wants to follow in his brothers footsteps and go into CAD design. Finally, there is me, Ray McSharry, proud father and a police officer in the West Yorkshire Constabulary for my sins! My main interests are building and upgrading computers, and as you probably guessed by now, I am a keen motorcyclist as well, hence the picture in the background of my other family member, my Honda Goldwing!
